As a Black-woman owned business, YAA&CO. BEAUTY more than understands the challenges that comes with taking up a space in an industry where the needs of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & People of Colour) are often an after thought.
We are also passionate about forging a community who feel seen and heard just as we are through the strong belief that, unity in numbers is the way to bridge the disparities that we face as a community.
As such, it is important for us to be proactive. Hence, we have created this initiative and, are calling all AU BIPOC-women owned brands to come together for a day of celebration of Black & Brown excellence.
To achieve this, we're looking to partner with similar-minded women in the beauty, fashion & wellness space who are passionate about delivering excellence through quality products and services through a focus on professionalism and, a strong commitment to customer centricity.
Some Key Information
A Collective Effort
To help make this event the best it can be, brands are encouraged to promote the event following the final confirmation of registration. *This excludes the below registration of interest.
Setup
This will be an expo-style event on a smaller scale where each brand will hold a designated stall and will be responsible for their stall's setup, takedown and branding.
Registration Fee
The associated registration fee is to be determined. However, this will be based on the cost of the venue hire and, the size of the stall a brand requires. Please register below to receive event updates.
Insurance
It is mandatory for all public-events in Australia to hold public liability insurance. Hence, all brands are required to hold public liability insurance for this event.
Location
SYDNEY
The aim is to obtain a venue close to Sydney CBD for easy access for all. However, Melanin Reign is opened to all BIPOC Women owned beauty, fashion & wellness brands in Australia.
*Depending on availability, priority will be given on a first come basis.
